Week 5- Reflection

My internship was fantastic! I learned a lot about myself- such as I have to take initiative and listen closely, and ask questions when I don't understand. I'm very grateful for this internship (and was even asked to continue on through the year.) I enjoyed the explorations we made in class (with waybook), and reflecting on goals and thoughts through each week. I also enjoyed the budgeting section we did in class- it made me think a little more about how I was spending, and that I could probably cut down a little on toys and cat related stuff.

A great thing I learned and actually thoroughly enjoyed at my internship was probably the courtroom procedures. It was a fresh change from Law and Order or CSI, and I'm really glad I got to snag this internship. It's not every day one gets to have an internship at the District Attorney's Office and get to see the inner workings of the prosecuting world.

I did enjoy learning more about my personality through the waybook explorations, although I did score a 38 on the Autism exam thing. The norm was about 16- so I'm a little concerned. I'll try not to take it to heart though. (Maybe I do have Autism???)

This was a great way to spend part of my summer, honestly. I thoroughly enjoyed it all, and I exercised my patience throughout it all (in court- some cases just have extremely long breaks in between). I also do quite enjoy my LinkedIn account and connecting with various people I've met in old jobs/volunteer work.

  1. I'm glad you had such a great time in your internship. Your internship sounded really awesome (I was kind of jealous)! I really liked the Waybook explorations as well but I doubt you actually have autism! It can't actually diagnose you it's just something to think about.

  2. I also worked on asking questions when I didn't understand and was most thankful for the budgeting section too! I also scored high on the Autism exam, but I noticed quite a few people in my class did as well, and we all agreed it might be a bit off!

  3. It seems like you learned a lot about your self and your future this summer and had fun while doing it. I enjoyed my internship as well, so I can sympathize with you in saying that this was a great way to spend your time!
