Work Readiness Skills
This week, I used communication well in my internship. I worked mostly in the kitchen doing prep work for the cafe, so it was important that I talked to the people I was doing prep for to see what they needed and how much of it. Also, being professional is important, especially hygiene. In a kitchen, it's important to keep surfaces clean and yourself clean while handling food products.
Something I need to work on is being literate. Most of the staff in the kitchen speaks Spanish, and few of them speak broken English. I am the opposite, so sometimes it's difficult to understand each other.
Your internship sounds really fun! I'm glad you used your communication skills well because that is something I am struggling to do in my internship that is in a professional office building
