Blog #5

I am grateful for not being bored once so far this summer. I anticipated a few days over this long break to be filled with T.V. shows and pigging out by myself. However, because of my friends, my internship, and my internship class, I am happy to say that there has not been one day this summer when I have been bored and found nothing to do.
I am grateful for my internship at Fireman's Fund because it was an amazing experience getting a feel for the corporate office world. I loved the fact that I was getting paid for doing an internship because that is not too common. I learned a lot throughout the last 6 weeks and I feel so lucky that I got the chance to prepare myself for the real working world by working in an office environment.
I am also grateful for my weekly internship class because I learned a lot about how to approach and be successful during my internship. I liked the fact that I got some school credits for attending this class. I believe I improved my work readiness skills to the point where I definitely know how to be professional when I finally start my real career.
Most of all, I am grateful that I did not let this summer go to waste.
