Blog #4

My total amount of future annual expenses will amount to about $58,300 (www.apartments.com,
www.ford.com, www.att.com, www.comcast.com). If I attend University of Oregon the annual tuition cost will be around $43,000 and if I attend UCSD or UCSB the cost will be around $32,000 (college board.org). I want to become a District attorney or something else in the field of law. According to the American Bar Association, the average private law school cost $34,300 a year and for public schools the cost is more than $16,800 annually. After completing law school I would then have to take the bar exam. A salary survey in 2010 conducted by the National Association for Law Placement indicated that an entry-level local prosecuting lawyer earned a median salary of $50,000, and for between 11 and 15 years of experience the median salary was $81,500 (http://work.chron.com/average-pay-prosecuting-lawyer-5010.html). I want to save $300/month for my rainy day fund and $500/month for retirement. If I save $6,000 each year for retirement, I will have $198,000 saved by the time I am 65 years old.
