The first way that I used work readiness skills was when I communicated effectively with my boss. Now that summer has started, I needed to change my schedule from the old one I was using during the schoolyear. I was able to communicate effectively with my boss so that we reached a consensus on what hours I would work which we were both happy with. I learned how to come to a compromise and also how to communicate better with my superiors.
The second way was when I used diligence. I was given a huge copying job this week that took many hours. To be honest, it was really boring; however, I remained focused and did the best job I could, and I was able to finish the job much faster than my boss expected. I learned that when something is boring, if you stay focused, it goes by faster.
One place that held me back was literacy. One of my tasks was to make a huge table using Excel. I have very little knowledge of Excel so this job was pretty hard for me. In the end though, I was able to figure it out.
It's always good to have good communication I use communication with the old people at the retirement home for my internship I have to understand and hear effectively to see what they need and I would need to communicate with my boss about making up the day and told him ahead of time what day I was not coming in and the day I would make it up keep it up Bilal
